MedRespond, the leader in conversationalsm engagement technology using artificial intelligence, search and streaming media is seeking a full stack software engineer to develop, test, and maintain web based applications.  Based on the Southside of Pittsburgh, MedRespond offers flexible hours, medical coverage and the opportunity to work on projects that improve lives.

Position Summary:

We’re looking for a skilled full stack software engineer with the ability to own projects from concept through creation.  It’s important that you’re comfortable with system architecture, server provisioning and administration, MySQL administration, backup and rollback strategies, Apache configuration, as well as front and back-end software development.  This role will be a blend of maintaining and extending our existing codebase for current client work, planning and implementing a rewrite of our core services, and server administration.

The bulk of our platform is currently written in CodeIgniter and AngularJS.  You should be an expert in PHP and AngularJS but comfortable using other technologies as needed. We also have tooling and services that leverage the following tech: 

  • Laravel
  • Stanford NLP
  • Python
  • Flask

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience in Software Development
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Familiarity with developing web applications across various platforms
  • Understanding of relational database design
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work in a fast-paced constantly changing environment
  • Creativity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a structured and non-structured work environment
